Oh my gosh! 2009 is almost over and I still havent been to the moon, won a nobel prize, got elected PM , learnt how to cook, sew and garden and worst still havent even finished reading the bible I started ions ago.
Where have all those days , weeks, years and decades gone to? One day I was 18 and now....hmm past half a century. I really dont know. Now it seems the days are zooming past. Everyday my hours are full to the point of spilling over to the next day. Is this good or bad? Seems like I dont have time to stop and smell the roses or, in this case in Sandakan, smell the tong sampah pah!!!!.
2 weeks ago I was in Sri Lanka and now I am thinking of what to pack for Australia. Next year I plan to learn new things if I can find time to do so. The kids are growing older and we are aging....ahhhhhh. I am begining to see eye bags and fine lines around you know where. The small cabin bags around the eyes are turning to super size luggage. Beware all, once you reach the ripe age of 50, everything either drops , thanks to Einstein and his theory of gravity or, increase in multiples of 7. The worst thing to me is the worsening of the eye sight. Now I have to wear my reading glasses just to eat fish!!!.
The only good thing about aging is that you dont give a dam about what people say and think....cos you cant hear them anyway...hahahaha....although you still have to act civilized , that is until you reach 80, then you can say and do what ever you want and blame it on senility!!!! Not much to look forward to is it?
On the brighter side of life, all your friends are either older then you..heheh..or only slightly younger. I like being me now. I find life fun and precious. I feel blessed that my boys have their heads screwed on the right way 90% of the time. How I got this right for all 4 of them only God knows. Praise the Lord for this miracle. If I could patent the formula I would be richer then Bill gates. The other 10% of the time my boys "think" they know more then us about life and reality. Guess we have to let them discover for themselves, only then will it become a lesson in life. As long as they dont plan to join al Queda or join a jihad, they are 'free' to explore ( within limits, of course )
News flash!!!! there is no such thing as freedom, not even when you turn 80. And that, children IS a fact of life.
