Ramadan again , feasting !!!

Yep , it's that time of the year again , food galore at 4.30 pm at the various locations here. However , the zest for driving there and walking and smelling the charcoal fire burning the aromatic meat is not so strong any more. the kids have also lost their yearning for buka puasa food especially the burger. We all love Keropok lekor but of late this delicacy no longer is offered for sale. The reason being that fish is expensive and hence not profitable to make and sell. how sad, I love this so much especially with the special chili sauce that goes with it. just as well I guess , I have to cut down on eating oily food anyway, but ...,, I really like the taste.

Now I just drive pass the pass the pasar malam and look and ..... It's no fun when u are watching what you eat , gone are the days when anything goes and more. Always the exta bowl or extra plate " ka liu ". .... Now, It's more like , small portion will do , share share. So my advise to all is to eat while you still can or you will live to regret once you reach 50! .

Somehow food doesn't have that hypnotic control anymore. I can walk past my favorite stall and not even have a desire to eat. now I have boring oats for breakfast. Just as well I had my fair share years ago. having said that I still have strong desires to eat ice cream though. guess it's because it's forbidden food. So all these 50 over years I had to be so careful when eating anything cold. My asthma took the front seat while I was growing up. now after a good old Chinese herbalist treated my asthma ,I can at least enjoy cold dessert more often then necessary.....hahaha. Now especially so when it is so hot everyday, an ice cream would be just the thing to cool the sense.

oh well, you eat some and you just look at some. At least I got to eat some so I can't complain. life has been good. praise the Lord.

My emeralds came out

Hahaha, my emeralds as Pui Lin calls them came out . They were holidaying in my gall bladder for don't know how long. Well now, its time to keep them out , so must exercise more, ahhhhhh!!! , I hate that word. Also have to watch my diet as I also have fat around my liver, that's the next to go. can do the cleansing after one month.

They all came out green, floating in moss like substance. luckily they were still small so they came out easily and painlessly . So the treatment of apple juice , olive oil and lemon works. I am glad it did so now I don't have to have an operation to remove the gall bladder. I would like to thank all my friends for sending me the recipe for this treatment. There is always an alternative to going under the knife.

Looks like it's spring cleaning time for my temple..... My body is a temple so I must keep it clean, but living in Sandakan its going to be difficult as this town is famous for its seafood among other things. My kids are back so its eating time , a relative is coming so its eating again, thank you Lord for this blessing. Guess it's better than starving like the millions in Somalia.

I must remember to pray for them . Perhaps you could too.

I want to improve on our LSG meetings every Thursday. Make it more interesting for the members so more will want to come. But I don't know how? Any ideas? BTW , LSG stands for ladies sharing group. You see we meet every thursday to sing and read the bible and share . The sharing can sometimes side track . That's when it becomes interesting but , its not what we meet for, so, ....

Anyway, I am sure The Lord will guide us , so ....

Starvation vs diet

People in Somalia are dying by the second. the world leaders are scrambling to be seen to be at the fore front of humanitarian aid to this besieged African nation. Somehow it's always a little too late. it's only after many children have died that the world wakes up to the news on their TV sets.

Famine isn't caused by a change of weather over night. Yet we sit in our cosy home not caring what happens on the other side of the world. Happily eating at fancy restaurants , throwing away food that has been kept over night or looking up a diet program to do. How sad we have become.

Only when CNN or BBC reports on TV that nations and politicians scramble to be interviewed on TV about their plans to help the "dead" or dying. I am no better then the willfully blind politicians about the affairs of the world. I too depend on CNN and BBC for news about this disaster that has hit the African nation and brought it to its knees.

What am I going to do about it? Nothing! I will wait to donate and let the other heros do what they do best. In the meantime I will try not to waste food , not to pollute the environment and to help kids in under developed countries get a decent education. what else can I do? I can pray that the grace of God will touch us all and we will find the courage to step out of our comfort zone and carry out God's will . To serve in his name.

why do people diet when millions are dying of hunger ? I don't know.....

Why do millions die when there are so many billionaires in this world ? I don't know...

Stones in the garden?

One would think stones belongnin the garden or the fish tank... Hahah but mine are in the gall bladder. Very safe place to store precious stones don't you think? No one can get them . Well that is what I have in this safe place.

it seems many folks have them. You don't know until you have some kind of pain . Well there are two ways to get rid of these semiprecious stones. One is yo remove them under the knife or rather 3 holes, yeh key hole surgery. This involves removing the whole gall bladder which I was told we do not really need . You just need the toilet more that's all.

The other way is to drink a concoction of apple juice and lemon and olive oil and hope that it works. I will try this second method first and pray hard that it works. It's a 6 day treatment so I can only do it when I have no big dinners to attend or am not travelling. So after the 21/7/11. at least I can buy the whole concoction from the organic shop complete with ins ructions... Idiots guide to gall stone removal. Well must say I am an idiot for having them anyway so ....

I also have some fat around my liver so next treatment would be to remove that as well, but its easier said then done cos if we continue eating local food which is full of oil , this problem won't go away. I am sure everyone has this unless you are an oiless vegan. Then eating would be soooo boring!!!!

So.......

Life does not stand still

So many things have come to pass this last month. I have been busy traveling to KK and KL doing this and that. life is so full and the journey is very blessed and interesting. I have been home hunting together with family. Saw many potential places that can be called home . Yet life style has to be compromised and belongings scarified in the name of security . Just imagine moving from a bungalow into a condo , a proud home owner 's nightmare. But life goes on and circumstances change so we must adapt too or get trampled by progress.

Well at least now we have sorted out the " home " problem and things are moving on track . Now comes the awful bit, packing up, what to keep and what to throw and what to give away . Never easy when it involves the things left behind by a loved one. May he rest in peace. Fortunately the family's blessed with abundant love and support . God is keeping an eye on them . He loves them and has not forsaken them.

This month we went to Malacca for my dad's birthday. had a great time celebrating with relatives near and far. Visited the SPCA and got a dog for my mum, the type she wanted with a big black spot on its body. So guess its name..... Hahaha , yes " Spot " of course what else can it be called. the dog is settling in well and everyone is happy.

We are happy too as we got done everything we wanted to do in KL including having a delicious father's day dinner at the market at Uptown Damansara with friends. Saw Morgan's new car and it looks great . now just wait for it to be perfected and road ready.

Last nite was the culmination of this month's events. We attended the join installation dinner of the Rotary and IWC. We were the MCs so , of course the nite went well. Everyone looked great and very beautiful. now that June is almost at an end , July would be dull in comparison. then again it may be not. God has wonderful things instore for all of us if when trust in him.

On I march into July and into my first district committee meeting as Dist treasurer.... Oh what an adventure I am going to have. !!!!

The Kids will be back so that will keep us busy till September. Let's see what July will bring.

Nothing to say

As I sit in front of the TV watching nothing in particular, thinking about my week, yet can't recall exactly what I did and why I am always running around like a chicken with no head. I seem to be so busy , with so many minor errands that my days passes by so fast that monday and sat seem to merge seamlessly.

Everyday I have something to do. Somewhere to be. Someone to meet. I can't decide if this is good or bad. Try as I may to relax at home and catch up on watching Oprah , errands just crop up from nowhere and off I go chasing the headless chicken,I was hoping for a quiet month of May , you know, eat , sleep and jalan jalan but .....

Now I hope to have a quiet June, but already I have a list of things to do. Have to help two persons fine tune their speech. One as guest of honor and one as in coming president. a wedding to attend , an installation and an AGM. A birthday to go to , a facial and a manicure, weekly alpha course at church, weekly ladies sharing group , aerobics twice weekly and yoga twice weekly ... oh boy, !!! I am exhausted already. Still my husband says I don't exercise enough. Ok I will try to find time between my lunch with Obama and power meeting with Najib to go to the golf club to swim.

Actually what I need is sleep. Sleep at 11 pm and wake up at 8 am. nice relaxing breakfast sitting down , instead of standing at the sink and gulping down the bread. I guess after doing this for 23 years when the kids were growing up , it's a habit hard to break. Only possible when we are on holiday at a hotel. Like when we were in Bangkok recently.

Meanwhile as I sit here watching CNN, thinking about what interesting topics I can blog about , the time has past 11pm and I should go to bed as I have a full day tomorrow. Have to call Lady Gaga and cancel our shopping trip as Nelson Mendala will be dropping in to have a chat about my dogs..... Hmmmmm.

shoot first then ask questions later

Sadly in May , some one very close got robbed, or rather her home got burgled. the thieves took her personal treasures given to her by a loved one. Fortunately for the family, the kids were not there neither was she. Guess that alone is a blessing only God can bestow.

It was a frightening experience for all of us., one that we will not forget too soon. Now home security is on all our minds once the sun sets. Of course the Police still have not solved the case nor have they caught the perpetrators of this greed intended act. We are not surprised but once in a while it would be good if the bad guys are caught and put behind bars. I think if caught they should be shot , chopped up and thrown to the sharks. ... If only.

There is no excuse for instilling terror on innocent people. If they have such itchy hands they should go and rob the corrupt members of society. These corrupted people don't deserve to keep their ill gotten gains anyway . Go rob those who earn $ 5000 but drive $300000 cars, live in million $ homes and still are able to sleep at nite. Some one should publish a manual for would be robbers , " robbing for dummies"... Where and who to help, unload their ill gotten riches... Hahaha. At least they will get a standing ovation when caught.

Anyway, she now is afraid to stay in her own home alone, but having not many choices , home it has to be. I pray that God will keep her safe. the only thing to do now is to move to a condo. How one decides which treasure goes and which to throw , one will need a double degree in home management, a masters in mental therapy and a doctorate in emotional management. How to throw away the pieces of a big puzzle that forms your family growing up requires a working committee of Einsteins and Sigmund Freuds . If its just hoarding , then its easy, close your eyes and just throw but , when a family has to throw or give away parts of their lives , it's sad . Life doesn't stop to purposely upset you but it goes on and so we have to keep up and move on in the face of a tragedy or an unfortunate event. Albeit unfair but as man depends on God, it is his will be done , not ours.

Some times it is easy to comment when its not our hand that is stuck on the pot. It is easy for me to write this as I stand outside watching the events unfold, but, it's not easy to find the right words to say to the one suffering this act of cruelty. Now would be a good time to find solace in the Lord .

lost in time

I am truly lost in time. When I went to bed it was April , now it's end of May. so many events zipped through my life that my head is still reeling. Trust me when I say walking with Jesus is full of excitement .

After vising Guilin in March , we took a trip to Bangkok in May. The last time I was in this Thai city of very polite people was 20 years ago when my eldest son , Noel was 3 year old. The city has grown by leaps and bounds, with bumper to bumper traffic, buildings on every sq inch of land , shopping centers the size of a safari park and people trying to hustle a living in this city recently famous for it's red shirt or yellow shirt revolution.

Visited all the usual tourist landmarks, a must do when in Bangkok. At other times we were walking the malls , not with any intention of shopping but rather with the intention of taking shelter from the blistering sun outside. Oh yes, it was so hot outside that I think I could have fried an egg if I tried.

We watched a cultural show which we thoroughly enjoyed in a state of the art theatre. We took a ride only once in the fame Tuk tuk. 20 years ago I remembered enjoying the ride but this time round, the heat, the carbon monoxide polluted air and the honking of a million vehicles competing for a space in the endless long lines of traffic somehow took away the fun of the ride. Actually , I think it's just me getting older.... Hahaha

We had a lot of nice food, the Tom yum in particular was mouth watering. we didn't dare push our intestines to the limit of no return so, we ate cautiously. 6 days isn't long enough to waste 2 days in the toilet, if you get my drift.

The Hotel we stayed in is the best, location wise, smack in the center of the shopping district. For a habitual shopper it would be paradise. For us it was convenient, look see look see in an airconditioned environment. There are lots of things to buy but I am not a shopping addict so..... All that luggage weight I bought was not put to good use.

Tried the massage but I prefer my own massage lady in Sandakan. Had a foot rub the last nite there, now , that was worth every baht we paid. All that walking for 5 days took its toll on my tired calf muscles, toes , oh well the whole leg , so the foot rub was heaven sent, Why we didn't go do it every nite was a regret we felt when we left Bangkok.

Well, we will definitely pay a return visit sometime sooner , not 20 years like the last time.

And now its April

Wow, so many things have happened. My trip to japan is off. So now am waiting for Air Asia to refund the $$$. Also waiting for MAS to be just as kind. The rain hasnt stopped. So no golf for Edwin.

The whole world is in turmoil and still Air Asia wants us to decide where we want to go within 90 days of their credit refund. So much for compassion. Guess its business as usual for them.

Nothing much has happened since the last blog, life is just the same, which I think is good considering the outside world is upside down.

My blog page has been spammed. So I have adjusted the setting. Hopes it works.

So its march !!

Wow! dont you think the world has passed me by and now its March. I have been to KL, Guilin and attended an AGM of the Inner Wheel club in KL. Not bad for having done so many things in so short a time.

Must say I had a blast in Kl, Guilin and at the AGM. I visited a friend at pantai medical, I enjoyed our trip to China, saw the magnificient mountains, attended the AGM and walked out as District Treasurer !.........thank you Lord for the faith.

Now I am trying to upload the videos I took in China. Now that's going to take longer then the whole trip!!!

My trip to japan has gone with the Tsunami waves. We are trying to get our refund from MAS and AirAsia but the 2 airlines arent cooperating so we are left to fend for ourselves....as usual, all talk and no action by either of them. They are practising wait and see policy. They know more then all the scientist put together. They still think we can fly to Japan come May. So much for malaysian hospitaly that MAS advertises everyday in the newspaper.

Just cos we didnt book the same airlines all the way to Japan, Mas wont even consider giving a credit refund.AirAsia says wait till 11/4, then we will let you know if we will give you a credit refund. Perhaps they think japan will get back to normal by may....hahahaha,....are they stupid or what?. That's the country we have voluntarily chose to live in, we are even more stupid or what???.....oh well, I am praying hard that they will come to their senses and on compassionate grounds give all their passengers an option to travel or refund.....wait lah!

Celebrate n then cry !!!

CNY has come and gone, happy or sad it's history now, till next year! Now it's back to the grinding stone, work , eat and sleep. At least the eating is no Longer compulsory. we can now eat simple food like Chinese sausage with hot rice, fried eggs with maggi sauce or just left overs .... Haha , All the cny decorations are safely tucked in their respective boxes to see the light of day only 1 year from now.

just as we thought life is back to normal , the middle east catches fire, the ground opens up in NZ and we in Malaysia find outbthat our country is actually run by a woman !!!! so what are we going to do about that? nothing. we just comment and then we go on with our lives. we continue to abuse mother earth and then blame the country next door. we are sick!

It came and went

Chinese new year is nearly over. 4 more days and and it will be over. So what do we do in the mean time? Eat and be merry ! Why? because its CNy here everyday . Well isnt it? WE have peace, we have food around every street corner, we have food on all the shelvbes of the supermarket, we buys new clothes without a reason or occasion, we call and chat with family and friends ever so often so, isnt it like CNY ?

Last nite we attended a CNY open house and birthday party. It was so nice and richly decorated that I felt like I was transformed back to the land of Alladin. For Sandakan standard it was classy. We dined in aircon tents, with waiters at our beck and call, free flow of drinks, not that it mattered to non drinkers like us, but good to know that that was enough alcohol to drown Mubarak's sorrows.

Dining in style among friends tops all the open houses we have attended this year. Its always nice to be in a class of your own. For us we can only celebrate CNy like all chinese families , simple and noisy. hahaha.....

Next week there are 4 more dinners till sat and then, only then can we officially say that the eating is over.....phew, I darent even try on my jeans, what's the use, it wont fit....that's how blessed we are. God has blessed us with an abundance of food when so many are starving, that is why I never forget to thank Him for our prosperity, good health and happy lives. So dont you forget!!!

The rains have abated slightly so the sun has come out to shine on wet wet Sandakan. Golf , however still reminds in the dark recess of the store room. Maybe if it doesnt rain for the next 2 weeks then, and only then, can the golfers come out to play....hehehe. I like having my husband home, us driving out to see things together. Today he bought me a new camera, full HD etcetc so, from now on you should expect clearer photos. And to think all this time you thought your eyes were getting blur, hahaha.

Where are my wellies?

my town is under water.... Help.... Really!!! We have so much rain that the town is becoming soggy.
There is landslides, mudslides, gushing water down the stairs and disappearing roundabouts. yeh! Water water everywhere nay a drop to drink. the roads have turned to rivers and the canal is under 1 foot of water.

My garden is like a pool, and soon my koi fish will be swimming on the grass. Tomorrow I have to run out to get floaters for my dogs . My patio was half covered with water this afternoon and my dressing table took a bath too. The rain was so heavy that if you are under 10 kg you will be washed away. Well, actually a car was washed away into the canal last nite just outside my house
.
Now we can't go out unless you have a 4 wheel drive cos you can't tell where the road begins and where the drain ends. I was told
The roads in town are under water. Now this is very bad, very bad cos the town centre is by the sea. There are many new shops by the sea front. So now not only do they have sea view , sea front frontage , now they also have sea water inside.... Suppose to be funny but ...don't think anyone is laughing.

the rain is still pouring down as I write this. The rain will be around till next week. So put away your news shoes and take out those plastic slippers. Chinese new year will be wet wet wet. put away your stilettos cos it would only sink into the mushy ground. Not just the heels , mind you, but the whole shoe.... Hahaha.

I also have a 4 water features on the ceiling of my bedroom. When will this end? God please be merciful and stop the rain
.

itsy bity spider

This morning I flew to KK for my review with Dr. Khoo , an eye specialist....well it all started when I saw cobwebs floating about. At first I thought, oh no, there were cobwebs on the ceiling, no, they have moved to the side wall, ....oh oh what was happening?

Strange, then I realised they were in my eye. Doing a dance. Cant be sure whether it was the rumba or the samba, but they were moving. So I quickly went up and took my contact lens off to give it a good finger scrub. While I was scrubbing, I noticed that the cobwebs were still in my eye .

As I couldnt pop my eye out to scrub, I popped the contact lens back in and .....panicked....but of course I did nothing. That nite on the way to a dinner, I saw flashes of light . Now this really worried me the whole nite. Cobwebs I can take, but lightning, now that's a different energy source altogether. So when I next go to a disco I dont need strobe lights for effect, I have my own.

So the next day I called to make an appointment, flew in, checked....phew!! Only floaters and lights flashes...nooormmmalll !

But still I had to go for a follow up , so that was this morning's trip to KK. Glad to say, all is well. Let the floaters float.

Had an early lunch with Maria Moi at this place famous for its beef , noodles and Hum Ching Piang.....the lady said that they were very well known . How come I never heard of them before? So I bought some and gave to friends and family. Hope it was worth the carrying !!!Pat said lets see if its better than the one sold at Kim Fung market. Will let you know......

Goodbye my friend

My friend Nyuk WEi called me on Monday with news I never expected to hear so soon. Its has been about 3 year that we, class of '79 lost one classmates to cancer. So Nyuk told me that another friend has passed away , I felt that its too soon. Hey after all we are all of the same age. She had a family, children and friends , she will be missed.

its never comfortable when someone you know in school moves on. its not like she was old , but she was sick. 53is too young to die.. Actually at any age is too young to die.

For a fleeting moment my own immortality came to mind, but then again, we have no control over our lives. Only God has , so why worry too much or dwell on the subject too long. its in God' s hands how long we live. we can't extend it even by living healthily if the Lord says its time! So ? I dunno . what I do know is that we must treat each day as special and do what makes you and everyone else happy. Do all you can to keep healthy . Do all you can to love yourself , then your family and friends. Do all you can to live a good life according to God's words ( for us christians ) for others according to your religion.

May you rest in peace Lin Neo.

Excitement.com

Well CNY is just around the corner....hahaha,so lame...huh? But you know what I am starting to feel the excitment. I wake up every morning wandering what else is there to do before the big day? But I cant think of anything. There is so much fun doing things the last minute. However, this year I am so organized that there is no last minute thing to do...this is the danger of maturity.... Hahaha!!!

This doesn't mean its going to be boring! no I have friends who need help still , so out comes the superfriend cape to the rescue. Today I doing something soooo exciting, ...buiying a small rice cooker for Sonia and me. You see, we have so few people eating that its such a waste cooking out of the big rice cooker where more rice stick to the side and bottom than on our plates.

The dogs eat more than us. So today I am on a mission to Chung Hwa or OnOn. Hope they have this electrical appliance for sale. Not exciting enough for you? Any more excitment and I will get a heart palpitation. Just kidding! Could do with more excitement for cny. I thank God that I am all set for 3 rd Feb. Life is sweet when God fills it with his grace and mercy.

OK people....get going , get off your butt and make use of God's blessing to bring happiness and cheers to your family !

Happy New Year friends. Kong Xi Fa Chai !!!!!

It's time......

No, no body is having a baby! It's time for chinese new year again, its that time of the year again. Its time for house cleaning marathon, eating binge, shopping for stuff we dont need, cos last year's things for cny 2010 are still in the store room....that time of the year....sounds familiar ?

Well, the good news is that, as we look back ( ie, grow older ) we now feel that a lot of things, we dont really need, no need to have a 100% squeaky clean house cos "the perfect house wife" isnt visiting us, and so many types of food are on our daily 'no no' list anyway cos aunty so and so said its not good for you, we dont need to have all new clothes starting from pyjamas , under wear to red tops etc etc,...that's for kids only. hahaha. One , ok,ok maybe two new things hanging around your wrist or neck will surfice lah!....or a new blouse will do.

All these chinese traditions stems from ancient china, where people were poor and so could only splash out for new clothes once a year. Now we buy new clothes 36 time a year so, everyday is a new year.We eat well all the time so, nothing special any more. With the internet , HP, skype we are constantly in touch with our family all over the world so, .....well, guess seeing them in person is always better....

If it sounds like I am not looking forward to CNY, well, part of me isnt cos my kids are away. Luckily I still have 1 coming back. There are fewer and fewer of us at the Tsen household so the fun and laughter decibel will be a lot less this year. This isnt going to improve anytime soon.

But, hey, Lets be happy and glad we are able to look forward to CNY, with God's blessing we will meet up with family and friends and wish them well for 2011.

1st Drama for 2011

On Thursday 13/1/11 , the ringing in my ears was very loud. The chinese opera was in town, albeit in my ears. It bothered me very much cos it took over my thoughts and I was worried about it. So on Friday morning I went yo see an ENT Dr. He couldn't find anything wrong so, I guess that' s good. I thought maybe my ears were dirty but, hey... Its clean. He reconds the blood isn't circulating well in my ears so he gave me some meds for this. Then in the afternoon I noticed a black thread like a spider's web which has been forgotten for centiuries ,in my left eye. At first I thought it was my contact lens. So I popped it out and started cleaning it ,when I realized that the black string was still in my eye....as I couldn't pop my eye out to clean it , haha, I called the eye specialist in KK and made an appointment.

That evening on my way to Wah Mie Annual dinner at Yu Yuan school, I saw flashes of light at the pheriferral of my left eye. This went on for about a minute. Now that really scared me. So on Saturday morning I called KK and was asked by Dr. Khoo to come in immediately. So we booked our tickets and flew to KK.

After checking he found nothing wrong.... Thank God, but, he said that the jelly in the eye has liquidify so its slooshing around too much. He advise me to take it easy and rest more and stop all forms of exercise. Normally it happens to older people ie . seeing floaters and flashes
But because of my extreme high power it has happened earlier. Oh well, so it's not all bad news. At least there are no holes or tear etcetc . I was more worried about retina detachment. The string of black cob web is still floating in my left eye.....

So already in January, the first drama has played out. Hopefully no more for this year. From Now on it's all eating eating till chap goh mei... Now the next concern will be the expending waistline....it has already started and it's still two weeks to chinese new year.... Better get my XXL pants out on standby.

The first surprise for 2011

Guess what? Had my first surprise. my yoga friends and I went out for a casual dinner, but they had a surprise in stored for Joanne and I. They celebrated our birthdays. Although our birthday is in Feb, but because of the chinese new year coming up, and as we will all be busy, they decided to celebrate our birthday 1 month early.

Thanks my friends for your thoughtfulness.....cant live without these good friends.

We went to town , behind Gentingmas and had dinner at a new place opposite KFC. The ambience is OK but it was too warm for us, that's age for you.....to hot, too salty, too sweet....hhaha, no longer the domain of our parents.

Anyway, the dinner was ok, nothing to shout about, but the cake was delicious. Natalie made it for this occasion. Thanks my friend. We still had a good time and laughed we did, loudly too. People looking at us would probably think what are these aunties doing at a pub?....oh well, the good thing is , we dont care!

So, now we get ready for chinese new year,...hmmm, how do we loose all that spare tyre before CNY?..the eating has started.

Wednesday, January 5, 2011

woah...2011 !!!

What happened to 2010? Where did it go? For most of the world it went to hell and back. Nothing good happened in 2010 that could overshadow the bad. Now its only January and already so many bad news on TV, you name it we have on the news ! What have we done to mother earth to deserve God's wrath ?......wake up poeple !!!!!!

On the home front it was better. Praise the Lord for his mercies. I am forever grateful to HIM for all the blessing for 2010.

Now, we live life like other folks with no kids at home, keep busy, keep busy, so even if the kids dont call, we wont sulk and feel lonely. easier said than done but, its their time now to shine so, step back old foggies, go join line dancing, painting classes , sing along or tai chi...what ever tickles your pickles...hahaha...just dont moan and wait for the phone call from any one of the jewels of your eye.

If you have daughters then you may be a bit more fortunate, cos the chances of them calling you is 30% higher then those with male testosterone !...if you get my drift? Maybe its only mine....oh well...

Now i am busy running around getting my house in order for CNY. That gives me something to do I guess. Not that my house needs anything else, but still....its fun shopping around for things you dont need or want, just browsing,....bought a vase the other day, so cheap, RM29/-. Looks good with flowers. Actually the one I really like cost RM500 so, I settled for a cheaper version. So if the maid breaks it accidently, I wont suffocate her in my dreams!

My kids are back safely at uni , we are back at work after a long break in Dec, yoga classes started too, so ....CNY we are ready ! Come year of the rabbit!!!

Lord give me a good year !
